Catherine Lucille Harper, 90, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at her home in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 4 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Burial in Oakland Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Catherine was born August 18, 1922 in Harrisonville, Missouri, the daughter of Horace Monroe and Savannah (Cox) Bearce. She was a lifelong Harrisonville resident. During the war, she worked at the Fairfax aircraft plant.

Catherine married William "Bill" Harper on September 17, 1945 in Lenexa, Kansas. She was a minister at the Peoples Community Church in Harrisonville. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Harrisonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill on July 11, 1999, and her 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Young and her husband, Sam, Harrisonville, Missouri; 3 grandchildren, Adam Young, Rachel Stricklan and Alex Young and 3 great-grandchildren, Audra Young, Anthony Young and Angelina Young.
