Cassie Marie Hamilton, 52, Humansville, Missouri, formerly of Harrisonville, Missouri, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in Harrisonville, Missouri. A memorial gathering BBQ will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Lord's Park in Harrisonville, at the shelter house. Meat and some sides to be provided. Everyone is asked to bring a side dish, snack, etc.

Cassie was born December 7, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Rex and Norma Jean (Hines) Baker. She grew up in Harrisonville and was a 1982 graduate of Harrisonville High School. Cassie had lived in Colorado and Arizona before moving to Humansville. Cassie loved to travel. After high school, she lived in both Arizona and Colorado, moving back to Missouri in late 1980's. Humansville, Missouri is where Cassie finally grew roots and developed her own oasis on her farm, which often consisted of chickens, goats, pigs and pet cows. She loved her homestead. Cassie owned and operated an automotive recycling center with her then husband and forever friend, Daniel. Cassie attended The Little White Church in Humansville, Missouri.

Cassie was preceded in death by her father, Rex Baker. She is survived by two daughters, Nicole Bailey and fiancé Saylor, and Dahkota Johnson, both of Kansas City, Missouri; her mother, Norma Jean Baker, Stockton, Missouri; two brothers, John Baker, Harrisonville, and Rex Baker, Adrian, Missouri; one sister, Pam Baker, Overland Park, Kansas, and one granddaughter, Corri.
