Casey Phillips, age 51, of Albuquerque, NM, formerly of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 30, 2008. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, August 9 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, MO.
Casey Phillips, age 51, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, formerly of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 30, 2008.
Casey was born to Leland Earl Phillips and Norma Jean (Perryman) Misner on September 26, 1956. He graduated from Osceola High School in 1975. He earned a B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Technology from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO.
Upon graduation, Casey started his career at Bendix Corp. in Kansas City from 1979-94. He accepted a position with Pantex in Amarillo, Texas from 1994-2003. At the time of his death, he was employed by Sandia National Laboratories. He served as a classification analyst in the DOE Weapons Complex for the past 24 years.
Casey loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, but his first love was his family.
Casey is survived by his wife of 26 years, Vicki, of the home; one son, Aaron Phillips and his wife Trista, Lubbock, TX; three brothers, Darren Upp, Houston, TX, David Phillips and his wife, Josie, Greenwood, MO and Danny Phillips and his wife, Liz, Lee's Summit, MO, and their sons, Owen and Tyler; aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
