Carolyn Irene Unnewehr, 80, of Harrisonville, Missouri, peacefully passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Crown Care Rehab and Health in Harrisonville, MO. Funeral services were held at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville on Friday, November 7, 2025, followed by interment at Freeman Cemetery in Freeman, MO. Memorial contributions are suggestion to the Missouri Conservation Department, American Cancer Society, or National Alzheimer's Association in Carolyn's name.

Born on March 19, 1945, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Chester and Edith (Lacy) Tribby, Carolyn spent her formative years in Freeman, MO, where she attended Van Meter Rural School #110 before graduating from Midway High School. On September 6, 1969, she married the love of her life, Donald Unnewehr, at South Fork Baptist Church in Freeman, where the seeds of their enduring love were planted. Together, they traveled far and wide, delighting in life's adventures and making cherished memories.

Carolyn will be remembered for her nurturing spirit and her compassionate heart. A true homemaker, she took pride in creating a warm and loving environment for her family, always putting the needs of others before her own. She had a special affinity for animals, particularly her beloved cats, which brought her immense joy and companionship. Carolyn loved being surrounded by nature; she found solace in her garden and spent countless hours watching and feeding the birds, connecting with the beauty of the world around her. A devoted member of her community and church, Carolyn truly embodied the values of kindness and generosity. Her infectious spirit and love for life brought people together, and her friends and family will forever cherish the time spent in her presence.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald Unnewehr. She is survived by her loving son, Cheston, and his wife, Joanna, Unnewehr; as well as, many friends.
