Carolyn Joy Drury, 82, Archie, MO, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at her daughter's home in Lake Winnebago, MO.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO.Burial  in the Austin Cemetery in Archie, MO.

Carolyn was born March 11, 1938 in Archie, MO, a daughter of Clyde William and Anna Fern (McKee) Burton.  She attended Harrisonville High School and one year at Longview College.  Carolyn was a life-long resident of Cass County, having lived in Harrisonville before moving to Archie.  She married Harry Dean Drury on September 14, 1956 at the home of Rev. Joe Brewster in Harrisonville.  Carolyn worked as a teller for Mazuma Credit Union in Kansas City, MO for 12 years before retiring in 2000.  She was a member of the Christian Church in Archie.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry Dean Drury on March 23, 1988, her son, Michael Dean Drury, three sisters, Velma Carpenter, Wilma Smith and Roberta Anne Schupp, and three nephews, Thomas Carpenter, Don Carpenter and Steven Carpenter.  She is survived by a daughter, Robin Noe (Mike), Lake Winnebago, MO; daughter-in-law, Debra (Brookshire) Drury, Blue Springs, MO; two brothers, Clyde Burton, Jr. (Helen) and Larry Burton, both of Harrisonville, MO; three grandchildren, Sarah Ortiz (Ray), of Lee's Summit, MO, Mary Elizabeth Taggart (Josh) of Blue Springs, MO and Alexander Michael Drury, Chicago, IL ; one step-granddaughter, Angela (Noe) Loughridge (Lance), Adrian, MO; five great-grandchildren, Roberto Dean Ortiz, Reid Charles Ortiz, Anna Joy Ortiz, Eli Taggart, and Nathan Taggart; four step-great-grandchildren, Taylor Ortiz, Jonathon Loughridge, Jordan Loughridge, and Jacob Loughridge; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
