Bruce Wayne Buhr, 96, Adrian, MO, peacefully left his life Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at his home. A  Masonic Services and Funeral, were held  Monday, August 17, 2020, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian.  Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Rich Hill, MO.   Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.

Bruce was born June 20, 1924 in Horton, MO, a son of Arnold Fred and Grace Irene (Kimrey) Buhr.  He grew up in Horton and was a 1942 graduate of Rich Hill High School.  Bruce was a WWII Army veteran.  He retired from Honeywell (Bendix) after 37 years of service.  In conjunction with Bendix, he was a chiropractor for 15 years.

Bruce also officiated volleyball and 3&2 baseball for 20 years.  He enjoyed volunteering at Boy Scout camp in Osceola, MO  and was an honorary member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He loved being a part of his community.  He was a member of Adrian United Methodist Church, Crescent Hill Masonic Lodge No. 368, Adrian, MO, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1935, Adrian Optimist Club, and he also helped out with the city taxi and Meals on Wheels.  Bruce enjoyed his acreage (Bittersweet Acres), gardening, duck hunting and card games.  He also loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Floyd and sisters, Betty Lou and Beverley Manning, and his first and second wives, Maxine and Ginger.  He is survived by his loving wife, Patsy (White) Buhr, of the home; three daughters, Glenda Ramsey, Independence, MO, Renda King (Steve), Pleasant Hill, MO, and Kenda McMurray, Buckner, MO, which were born to his union of marriage in 1947 to Maxine Thornburg Weir; step-daughter, Brenda Skeens (Joe), Grain Valley, MO; three step-sons, Leroy White (Debbie), Grain Valley, MO, Mark White (Kristen), Rich Hill, and Scott White (Charisse), Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law, Joanne Buhr, Adrian; sister, Melba Edmonds, Nevada, MO; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
