Bruce Everly Archer, 73, Archie, Missouri, died Monday, June 6, 2016 at Saint Luke's, Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 10 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Archie with burial in Green Lawn Cemetery in Schell City, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Archie. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors (woundedwarriorproject.org).

Bruce was born November 26, 1942 in Nevada, Missouri, the son of Loren and Treva (Hutchison) Archer and had lived in Archie, Missouri for the past 48 years. Bruce was a 1960 graduate of Nevada High School. He married Janice Lee Reed on December 29, 1963 in Schell City.

Bruce was a Bookbinder for Brown Printing Company in Kansas City, Missouri and was a member of the GCC-IBT Local 235-M Bookbinders Union in Kansas City. He had lived in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Archie. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Schell City.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Janice, of the home; two daughters, Shelly Archer Romi and husband, Dennis, Drexel, Missouri, and Sheila Brown and husband, Rick, Marshfield, Missouri; two brothers, Douglas Archer and wife, Gayle, Archie, Missouri, and Vance Archer and wife, Debbie, Deerfield, Missouri; sister-in-law, Beverly Cornelius, Butler, Missouri; 4 grandsons, Cody Brown, Ethan Romi, Calvin Romi and Caleb Brown and his soon-to-be-bride, Hailey, and many nieces and nephews.
