Bonnie Mae Jackson, 94, Adrian, MO, died Monday, October 27, 2008 at Adrian Manor, Adrian. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 29 at the Atkinson Chapel in Adrian. Visitation 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, Amsterdam, MO. Bonnie was born September 15, 1914 in Amsterdam, MO, the daughter of John and Bertha (Kershner) Stephens. She was united in marriage to Wesley Jackson. To this union two sons were born, Marvin and Raymond.
Bonnie was a loving and caring mother, wife, grandma and friend to a lot of people. Her door was always open to old, young, family and friends and she never met a stranger. Bonnie was constantly there for others and always made time to lend a helping hand. Along with spending time with family and friends, she loved the outdoors and her flowers.
Her main pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. When she was with them, they shared their happiest moments. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wesley, in 1989, one son, Marvin, one grandson, Ricky and two sisters. She is survived by one son, Raymond Jackson and his wife, Fran, Osceola, MO; one sister, Verna Corbin, Amoret, MO; three grandsons, Dale and his wife, Monett, Terry and his wife, Kathy and Tracy Jackson; seven great-grandchildren, Jessica and her husband, Jason, Vanessa and her husband, Joe, Wyatt, Courtney, Chase, Trenton and Molly, all of Bates County; a step granddaughter, Barbie; a step grandson, Brad; two step great-granddaughters, Malenda and Valerie, South Carolina, and a number of nieces and nephews.
