Bobby "Bob" Woodrow Moles, 85, Adrian, MO, died Monday, April 16, 2012 at Adrian Manor. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Adrian. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17 at the Atkinson Chapel in Adrian. Memorial contributions may be made to Adrian Manor.
Bob was born to Otha Cyrel and Lois Mabel (Addleman) Moles on March 22, 1927. He was one of eleven children and was always proud of his large family. He was united in marriage to Ruth Florence Rabourn on May 25, 1946. To this union, four children were born, Wayne Dale Moles (wife Linda), Carol Ann Turpin (husband John), Kenneth Joe Moles (wife Dara), and Betty Kay Arney (husband Gwaine).
Bob worked for Hill's Truck Line of Adrian, retiring after 33 years. He was involved in various activities, including the Masonic Lodge, driving the senior taxi, and serving as a councilman for the city of Adrian. He also raised and trained quarter horses and miniature mules. Bob's family was the center of his life and he enjoyed his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren immensely.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1966. He was a faithful member of the Burdette Baptist and Adrian First Baptist Churches, where he served as Deacon. Bob could always be counted on to do whatever was needed; from visiting the sick, transporting people to KC appointments or building a pipe organ loft. He was willing to follow the footsteps of Jesus.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Lester Moles, Geraldine Scott, Jack Moles, Vonna Smiley, Ray Moles, and Shirley Smith. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, his children and their spouses, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Melva Hogan, Spring Hill, KS; Faye Robinson, Richmond, MO; Wilda Nevels, Lexington, MO, and Kathryn Barton, Tulsa, OK.
