Obituary

Bob Ray Kirk, 72, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Golden Years Care Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 18 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Atkinson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.

Bob was born March 13, 1943 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, the son of Walter Oliver and Ethel Pearl (Huey) Kirk. He was a 1961 graduate of Harrisonville High School and a lifelong resident of Harrisonville. He married Bonnie Blakley Bunch on October 12, 1989 in Miami, Oklahoma. Bob had worked for Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent for 43 years, retiring in 2005. He was a former member of CWA Union and the Pioneers Club. He was a Baptist.

Bob had worked for Anstine Auction Company in Clinton, Missouri for 18 years as a ringman. He loved the outdoors, deer hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed going to auctions and collecting John Deere items. He was a handy man and loved spending time with his family.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bill and Jim, and a daughter-in-law, Kris. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of the home; his children, Clifford R. Kirk, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Mark W. Kirk (Carrie), Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Randy J. Kirk (Robin), Garden City, Missouri, Gary O. Kirk, Harrisonville, Missouri, Mike Bunch (Debbie), Harrisonville, Missouri and Lynn Bunch, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; one brother, John Kirk (Rheta), Milton, Florida; one sister, Viola Wieberg (Jim), Harrisonville, Missouri; 13 grandchildren, Cherie Fiore Robinson (Jim), Jimmy Fiore (Alan), Monte Wiser, Garrett Wiser (Kelley), Emmy Harris, Abby Kirk, Chelsea Kirk Stuckey (Nick), Audrey Kirk, Andy Bunch, Amy Sevy (Tyler), Derrick Caldwell (Jessica), Ashley Caldwell, and Brittany Bunch; 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
