Billy John Osborn, 87, Archie, Missouri, died Monday, July 28, 2014 in Harrisonville, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Archie, Missouri. Masonic services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice, 9233 Ward Parkway, Suite 201, Kansas City, MO 64114.

Billy was born June 1, 1927 in Harrisonville, Missouri, the son of John and Ada Alice (Oram) Osborn. He attended Oak Grove Rural School #83 and was a 1945 graduate of Harrisonville High School. He was a lifelong Cass County resident. Billy was a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran. He married Edna Lucille Goddard on September 14, 1957 in Archie.

Billy was a millwright for General Motors for 30 years before retiring. He was a member of Archie Lodge No. 633 and Grand River Masonic Lodge No. 276 in Freeman, Missouri for over 63 years. He was also a member of the Kansas City Scottish Rite.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Edna on August 2, 2009. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Betty Wellington, Harrisonville, Missouri; one sister, Jean Drury, Archie, Missouri; 2 grandchildren, Leslee Goddard and Christel Allen; 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
