Billy Joe Jones, 58 of Raymore, MO, died Thursday, October 8, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO with visitation from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Billy was born April 12, 1951 in Lawton, OK, the son of Henry Leslie and Geraldine Agatha (Christian) Jones. He was a heating/cooling system installer. He was a longtime Cass County, MO resident and lived in Belton, MO before moving to Raymore two years ago.

Billy loved working on old cars, was a musician and played guitar and was a licensed model airplane pilot.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Lisa Marie Jones, two brothers, Felix Roger Jones and Leslie Jones, one sister, Shirley Jean Jones and two grandchildren. He is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Nadeau, Tennessee, Sandra K. Seyler, Ottawa, KS and Lanora Jones, Belton, MO; one brother, Bobby L. Jones, Peculiar, MO; five sisters, Judy Turntine, Grandview, MO, Lenora Jewell, Raymore, MO, Tina M. Heard, Foster, MO, Ersie Witmer, Peculiar, MO and Gina Edmondson, Peculiar, MO and 10 grandchildren.
