Billy Eugene Cowan, 67, Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO.  Funeral services were held  Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.   Burial  in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Billy was born November 22, 1952 in Harrisonville, a son of William Henry and Betty Anne (Brigham) Cowan.  He was a lifelong Harrisonville resident and a 1970 graduate of Harrisonville High School.  Billy was united in marriage to Shana Kagarice on February 2, 1974 in Harrisonville.  Billy worked with his father in maintenance and construction for Pearson Investments.  He later worked as a furnace operator for Stahl's in Kingsville, MO until his retirement.  He was a former member of the Harrisonville Optimist Club and was a member and board member of the Harrisonville Golf Club.

Billy is survived by his wife, Shana, of the home; one son, Ricky (Jaimee) Cowan, Archie, MO; two daughters, Skyla (Matt) Wray, Clinton, MO, and Janelle Cowan, Harrisonville; a brother, Donnie (Belinda) Cowan, Harrisonville; and two sisters, Janie (Gene) Gawrys, Grant Park, Illinois, and Patricia Palmer, Harrisonville; seven grandchildren, Colby, Tanner, Kelcey, Ashton, Maycee, Lilley and Gavin.
