Betty Lou Wellington, 77, Harrisonville, MO, gained her wings on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at her home. Memorial graveside services were held Saturday, January 27, 2017 at Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.

Betty was born August 16, 1940 in Kansas City, MO. She was a graduate of Raytown South High School. She had worked at the Blue Valley School District as the assistant lead custodian for 15 years. She had been an assistant leader in Girl Scouts when her girls were little. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, especially holiday baking, bird watching, and feeding her squirrels. She also enjoyed crafting and shopping.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Billy Osborn, and several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her partner and best friend of 32 years, Warren Jones; daughters, Leslee Goddard, Topeka, KS, and Christel Allen and husband, Christopher, Belton, MO; 4 grandsons, Alva Michael Goddard and wife, Paige, Justin Goddard, Chase Allen, and Cody Allen, and 3 great-grandchildren, Warren, Addisyn, and Ariel, in which she adored greatly, and by her long-time dog companion, Caesar. She will be missed by all.
