Betty Lee Greer, 67, Adrian, MO, died Sunday, August 23, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Adrian, MO. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 26 at the chapel. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Betty was one of two daughters born to James Edgar and Willa Lee (Mansfield) York. She was a lifelong resident of the Adrian area. On September 23, 1961, she was united in marriage to Robert Allen Greer in Adrian, MO. Robert and Betty had two children, Dana Lyn and Michael Allen.
Betty gave her heart to Christ and was a member of the Adrian United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She loved her pets and spending time with family and friends. She was an avid bingo player and loved bingo nights with her many bingo friends. Betty and Robert enjoyed spending time at the lake with family and friends. She loved getting together for picnics, Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays and other holidays.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, a nephew, Fred Bruce Keirsey, a brother-in-law, Delbert Greer and a sister-in-law, Anna Jean Bruce and her mother and father-in-law, Ruby and Finley Greer. She is survived by her husband, Robert, of the home; one daughter, Dana Scrogham and her husband, Jeff; one son, Michael Greer and his wife, Theresa; one sister, Donna Keirsey and her husband, Estel and their daughter, Jamie Lockard and her husband, Martin; six grandchildren, Dustin Scrogham, Devon Scrogham, Brian Scrogham, Kendra Greer, Heather Greer, Jon Greer and one great-granddaughter, Rylee Elizabeth Scrogham, all of the Archie-Adrian area. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, as well as one niece, Susan Farr, an LPN who drove from Kansas on weekends to aid in the care of her Aunt Betty.
