Betty Gail Ellis, 80, Adrian, Missouri, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at her home. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri. (Cremation to follow). Betty was born January 25, 1933 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of Kenneth and Lillian (Kuegler) Ely. She was raised by her grandparents, Roy and Gail Ely and grew up in California. She married Robert N. Ellis on December 19, 1960. She had lived in Archie, Missouri for 26 years before moving to Hermitage, Missouri. She lived in Hermitage for 10 years before moving to Adrian in 2007. She was a homemaker.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert on November 8, 2006 and two brothers, Richard Ely and Bobby Ely. She is survived by one son, David Ellis, Drexel, Missouri; two sisters, Judy Bearce, Harrisonville, Missouri and Barbara Lehija, Phoenix, Arizona and two grandsons, Jason and Joshua.
