Bettie Maurie Parscale, 90, Raytown, Missouri, died Saturday, August 16, 2014 at her home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri with visitation from 10:00-11:00. Contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice.
Bettie was born August 8, 1924 in Cowgill, Missouri, the daughter of Robert S. and Mary Leland (Lasley) Wallace. She was a 1943 graduate of Harrisonville High School. Bettie had worked in the billing offices at Research Hospital, both at the Kansas City and Belton offices, before retiring. After her retirement, she worked several years at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville until age 84. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Harrisonville.
Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Lawrence Wallace and Charles Eugene Elkins and one sister, Thelma Brewer. She is survived by three sons, Bill Dameron of Harrisonville, Missouri, David Parscale and wife, Geri of Lawrence, Kansas and Boyd Parscale of Kansas City, Missouri; four daughters, Sandra Dameron of Grandview, Missouri, Gerry Conklin and husband, Craig of Jacksonville, Florida, Teresa DeWitt and husband, Randy of Kansas City, Missouri and Annette Moore of Raytown, Missouri; one brother, Robert "Junior" Wallace; one sister, Evah Mae Payne; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
