Betsey B. LaRose, 73, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, after a short battle with cancer.  Betsey was born on April 22, 1946 in Boston, Massachusetts, a daughter of Edward Cadwell and Grace Evelyn (Weir) Janes.  She graduated from Westfield High School before attending college and eventually receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master's degree in Business Administration.  Betsey enjoyed a professional career before retiring to enjoy family life and traveling.  Betsey was an avid gardener and loved to read books.  She enjoyed every day and always lived life to the fullest.

Betsey was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Grace Evelyn Janes; her brother, Calvin Janes; and former husbands, Tom Crosbie and James LaRose.  She is survived by her children, Tom Crosbie II, William Crosbie (Cynthia), and Jennifer LaRose (John Young), and four grandchildren.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, MO.  Memorial contributions may be made to City Union Mission, Kansas City, MO.
