Bessie Murr, 91, Kansas City, MO, died Monday, February 4, 2008 at Assisted Lifestyles of Kansas, Olathe, KS. Funeral services 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, MO. Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Wednesday at the chapel. Burial in West Union Cemetery, Cleveland, MO. Contributions to Salvation Army.

Bessie was born December 2, 1916 in Enola, Arkansas, the daughter of Cleveland and Arvelia (Howard) Bradham. She married Alton Lonzo Murr on March 29, 1936. Bessie had lived in Cleveland, MO and Belton, MO before moving to Kansas City in 1997. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Peculiar, MO. She was a homemaker.

Bessie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Alton Lonzo Murr, on January 13, 1997. She is survived by two sons, Richard L. Murr, Macks Creek, MO and Henry Murr, Kansas City, MO; one daughter, Lelia Moore, Lenexa, KS; two brothers, Eldon Bradham, San Antonio, TX and Jim Bradham, Bridgeport, IL; three sisters, Marie Clark, Kalamazoo, MI, Jewell Clark, Huntsville, AL and Nancy Hardy, West Salem, IL; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
