Bert Morris Rinker, Jr., 84, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Adrian Manor in Adrian, MO. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, with burial in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO.

Bert was born on September 2, 1935 to Bert M. and Mary Ruth (Spencer) Rinker. Bert graduated from Freeman High School. He was united in marriage to Betty Ruth Woodring on September 19, 1953 at the home of Rev. Joe Brewster in Freeman, MO.  They were married 63 years before she passed away in 2017.  Bert spent most of his life as a resident of Harrisonville. He worked for Bakan Plastics in Lee's Summit, MO.

Bert is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; his son, Bert Rinker, III; and two sisters: Janet and Pat.  He is survived by his two sons: Bret Rinker (Patti) of Harrisonville, and Paul Rinker (Melissa) of Pleasant Hill; 10 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; his sister, Marcia Potts; and daughter-in-law, Patti Rinker.
