Benjamin Isaac Taylor, 86, Harrisonville, MO, died Monday, February 9, 2009 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Friends may call from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 12, at the church with Rosary at 7:30.

Ben was born December 27, 1922 in Garden Grove, Iowa, the son of James Lowell and Clara Taylor. Ben married Grace V. Gendron on May 16, 1942.

Ben worked for Crimsco Tool and Die in Kansas City as a machinist, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville. He was a WWII and Korean War Navy veteran.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, his children, Susan Taylor, Deborah Elliott and Benjamin Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Grace, of the home; two sons, Keith Taylor, Gladstone, MO and Logan Taylor, Archie, MO; one daughter, Joyce Burton, Harrisonville, MO; three brothers, Logan, James and Keith; three sisters, Romana, Margaret and Lois; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
