Benjamin Alan Dye, 24, Blue Springs, Missouri, died Monday, September 24, 2012 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, Missouri.

Ben was born February 15, 1988 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Bruce Allen and Paula L. (Adkins) Dye. Ben worked five years for J. K. Mechanical in Bates City, Missouri and for the past two years at 4 Sight Service Company in Kansas City. He liked to hunt and go to the races. He was kind and generous, always helping his friends do things.

Ben was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Burton Dye, and maternal grandparents, Paul W. and Bernice Adkins and his paternal great-grandfather, Burley Dye. He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Paula Dye, Garden City, Missouri; one sister, Melissa McKitterick and husband, Aaron, and nephew, Zackery and nieces, Katie and Hailey, all of Lee's Summit, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Rosalee Dye, Columbia, Missouri; three aunts, Ann Robinette and husband, Eric, Columbia, Missouri, Debbie Anderson, Parker, Arizona, Gail Defluiter and husband, Steve, Peculiar, Missouri; uncles, Neil Dye and wife, Sheri, Holts Summit, Missouri, Ronald K. Dye and wife, Helen, Holts Summit, Missouri, and Darrel Dye and wife, Brenda, Lone Elm, Missouri and James Adkins,Warrensburg, Missouri and many cousins.
