Barbara Mumford, 76, of Adrian, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Adrian Manor Health and Rehab.  Private family funeral service were held December 26, 2020.

Barb was born in Summit, New Jersey to Melvin H. Mumford and Adele H. (Lawrence) Mumford. She was one of six children and grew up in Georgetown, Delaware. She graduated from Georgetown High School.  After high school, Barb attended Beebee School of Nursing in Lewes, Delaware. She worked as a Registered Nurse in various areas in the state of Delaware. In 1982, she followed her parents to Missouri and began work at Citizen's Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO. After she retired, she continued to volunteer at the hospital until she moved to Adrian, MO in 2010.  In Adrian, she was a member of the Lion's Club and a volunteer at the Adrian Library. She also met with a knitting group once a week. She regularly attended the Adrian United Methodist Church.

Barb was kind and compassionate. She loved being a nurse, a mom and a grandma. If she wasn't doing those things, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, "junking" (looking for antiques), and going out to eat. She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Barb is proceeded in death by her parents, Melvin and Adele; her sisters, Carol Weeks and Dorothy Macklin, and her brother, Charles Mumford. She is survived by her brothers,  Melvin L. Mumford and wife, Carol, Vero Beach, FL and Lawrence R. Mumford and wife, Bonnie, Northeast, MD; her daughters, Susan (Mumford) Yoss and husband, Kip, Adrian, MO, Amy (Baker) Deitrich and husband, Bill, Landenberg, PA; grandsons, Aaron and Ian Yoss and Bob Deitrich, and many nieces and nephews.
