Barbara Jean Jennings, 67, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Harrisonville.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.

Barbara was born August 28, 1946 in Ava, Missouri, the daughter of Riley and Mandy (Williams) Wheeler.  She married Richard L. Jennings on March 21, 1964.  She had lived in Kansas City, Missouri for 20 years before moving to Gunn City, Missouri and then to Harrisonville, where she had lived for the past 11 years.  Barbara had worked at Wal-Mart for 13 years before retiring in 2010.  She was a member of the Blue Springs Baptist Temple in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Richard.  She is survived by two sons, Keith Jennings (Tammy), Harrisonville, Missouri and Ricky Jennings of Texas; one daughter, Angelina Jean Krout, Warsaw, Missouri and four grandchildren, Tabitha Jean Riffle, Charles Riffle, Ashley Barclay and Kayla Marks.
