Barbara Ilene Hathaway, 87, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 9, 2025. Graveside services were held  on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, MO.

Barbara was born September 3, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri, a daughter of George and Phyllis (Whittle) Korneman. She had lived in Grandview, MO, Freeman, MO, Belton, MO and Las Vegas, Nevada before moving to Arvada, Colorado. She was a Baptist and a past Worthy Matron of The Freeman, Missouri Order of the Eastern Star. Barbara was a secretary for Farmers Insurance before her retirement. Barbara was united in marriage to Robert "Mike" Hathaway June, 1995 in Arvada, CO, and they continued to make their home in Arvada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; and a brother, Dale. Barbara is survived by her husband, "Mike" Hathaway, Arvada, CO; sons: Brent Harper, Freeman MO; Jerry Hathaway, Las Vegas, NV; and Craig Hathaway, Denver, CO; two daughters: Elizabeth McCreery, Shawnee Mission, KS; and Leslie Harper, Waverly, MO; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
