Obituary

Barbara Jean (Morris) Glasgow, 87, Reeds Spring, MO, (formerly of Harrisonville, MO), passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at her home.  Funeral services were held  Friday, February 7, 2020  at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri.  Burial  in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Barbara was born April 23, 1932 in Harrisonville MO to William Henry and Bertha Missouri (Gray) Morris. Her mother died when Barbara was just nine years old and at that time she took over all of the household duties for her brothers and father.   She graduated from Harrisonville High School in 1950 and after graduating she went to work for Porter Accounting Service on the square in Harrisonville.  Following that she opened her own accounting service, Friedrich Tax Service.  Barbara married Vance Glasgow on October 28, 1978 in Harrisonville, Missouri. She retired and moved to Kimberling City in 1999.  She was formerly a member of the Harrisonville Business and Professional Women's Club and an active member of the Kimberling City Neighbors and Friends Club.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and her oldest son, Steve Friedrich.  She is survived by her husband, Vance Glasgow, Reeds Spring, MO; her sons, Scott Friedrich (Leigh Ann), Harrisonville, MO, and Stan Friedrich, (Luann), Conroe, TX; a daughter, Shelly Noe (Tim), Fort Myers, FL; step-children, Shawn Glasgow (Sandy) and Todd Glasgow (Kerrie); 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
