Obituary
Barbara Lee Farris, 77, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Friday, December 14, 2012 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville. Come and join us for a celebration of her life from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Dresden Cemetery or Missouri Department of Conservation.
Barbara was born November 7, 1935 in Dresden, Missouri, the daughter of Clyde A. and Dorothy May (Romig) Farris. She graduated from Clinton High School. Barbara worked as a telephone operator for United Telephone in Clinton and then in Harrisonville, Missouri. She worked for Sprint/Embarq in Gardner, Kansas before retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Virginia D. Hicks and her life-long companion, Harold Fowlkes. She is survived by one sister, Naomi Jean Coleman, Clinton, Missouri and many nieces and nephews.
