Barbara Ann Davenport, 78, of Harrisonville, Missouri died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Barbara was born September 19, 1932 in Spivey, KS, the daughter of Burl and Hazel (Cramer) Hamilton. She married Thomas Wilborn on November 15, 1950 in Kansas City, MO. He died on June 11, 1989. On August 2, 1991, she married James Davenport in Indianola, Iowa.
Barbara was a graduate of Paseo High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for House of Lloyd and was a tax consultant for H&R Block. She had lived in Kansas City, MO for 32 years before moving to Pleasant Hill, MO where she lived for four years. She had lived in Harrisonville since 1969. Barbara was a member of the Antioch Southern Baptist Church in Harrisonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, James Reynolds, her first husband, Thomas, three sons, Daniel, David and Matthew Wilborn, one sister, Roberta and one granddaughter, Ginger. She is survived by her husband, Jim, of the home; three sons, James Wilborn, Blue Springs, MO, John Wilborn and Timothy Wilborn, both of Harrisonville, MO; two daughters, Margie Barrows, Rochester, MA and Sharon Hart, Harrisonville, MO; one sister, Phyllis Fibert, Wichita, KS; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and special friends, Blanche Litle, Peg Wyatt, Betty and Frank Wilkinson and Jennifer Wilson.
