Arthur Paul Baird, 39, Butler, MO, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO. Burial will be in Memphis Cemetery, Memphis, MO.

Paul was born May 21, 1969 in Houston, TX, the son of Gilbert Paul and Carol (McNamar) Baird. He was a graduate of Big Sandy High School in Livingston, TX.

Paul was a veteran of the U. S. Army and worked in the Signal Corp in communications. He had served in Germany for two years and six months in a combat zone in Bosnia. Paul worked as an auditor for Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Harrisonville.

Paul is survived by his mother, Carol Baird, Memphis, MO; his father, Gilbert Baird, Coldspring, TX; one daughter, Jessica Leigh Easter, Midtown, Virginia; two sisters, Christina Sue Kyzer and her husband, Russell, Birmingham, Alabama and Linda Kay Baird, Chanute, Kansas; his grandmother, Alice Susan McNamar, Memphis, MO; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and his brother-at-heart, Billy Brown and his wife, Nicki and their two children, Trenton and Tiffany, Liberty, KS.
