Arlena K. Young, 72, of Chanute, Kansas passed away Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Heritage Health Care in Chanute. A memorial graveside will be held Friday, October 9, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, Missouri.

Arlena was born May 12, 1948 in Parsons, Kansas, a daughter of Walter A. and Wilma  M. (Wills) Young. She worked as a secretary for an advertising firm before her retirement. Arlena had lived in Overland Park, KS before moving to Parsons.

Arlena was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Luke, and a sister, Mickey.

She is survived by two sons, James Mishler and John Mishler, both of Chanute; two brothers, Larry Young, Montgomery, AL, and Jerry Young and wife Sandra, Raytown, MO. Three sisters, Linda Young, Skiatook, Ok, Denise and husband Neil Frihart, Broken Arrow, OK, and Deanna and husband Bob McGee, Concordia, KS.  Arlena leaves behind 5 nieces and 6 nephews, as well as 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
