Anna Jean Cora Kincaid, 68, Gladstone, MO, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in Peculiar Cemetery, Peculiar, MO.


Anna was born December 5, 1940 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Clarence and Josephine (Ruger) Goens. She married Robert Martin Kincaid on November 22, 1958 at the William Jewell Baptist Church in Kansas City.

Anna was a member of the Norfleet Baptist Church in Independence, MO. She was a homemaker. Anna had lived in Lee's Summit, MO and Peculiar, MO before moving to Gladstone. Anna loved to travel and had traveled to Hawaii, Bermuda , and the Bahamas. She loved to socialize with her family and friends and attend her grandchildren's activities.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert, on December 12, 2002. She is survived by two sons, Doug Kincaid, Peculiar, MO and Aaron Kincaid, Raymore, MO; five daughters, Cindy Hughes, Overland Park, KS, Pam Gregory, Belton, MO, Cassy Kincaid, Kansas City, MO, Eyvonne McGhee, Blue Springs, MO and April Zimmerman, Lee's Summit, MO; two brothers, Kenny Goens, Gladstone, MO and Ronnie Goens, Kansas City, MO; one sister, Jo Johnston, Gladstone, MO and 17 grandchildren.
