Al Shockley, 75, Raymore, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the VA Hospital in Kansas City, MO. A Celebration of Life visitation was held Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Burial, with full military honors, was held Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS.
Al was born June 4, 1947 in Compton, California, a son of Alvin Earl and Virginia (Heflin) Shockley. Al worked as a professional wrestler, heavy equipment operator, and served two stints with the U.S. Marines, for a total of "6 years, 4 months and 26 days". Al owned his own trucks and was an over the road truck driver for over 40 years before his retirement. He lived in Raymore for the past 17 years. Al was united in marriage to Chandra Bost on October 17, 2005 in Miami, OK.
Al was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; three sisters; and his first wife, Patsy. He is survived by his wife, Chandra Shockley, of the home; one son, Tim Shockley (Sherry), Searcy, AR; one daughter, Tammy Lamb, Belton, MO; one step-son, Robert Blizzard, Archie, MO; one sister, Carol Flowers (Orla), Twin Falls, ID; three grandchildren: Bianca Hill (Robert) and their children: Kaylee, Tucker and Grace; Dallas Shockley (Jazmine) and their children: Kelton and Eboni; and Sean Lamb and adopted grandkids: Marlie, Aria and Elias. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
