Allie Mae Gregg, 82, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Golden Years Care Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services were held Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with burial in Orient Cemetery.
Allie was born June 11, 1934 in Wayne County, Georgia, the daughter of Allen C. and Bessie Mae (Griffis) Thornton. Allie grew up in Waycross, Georgia and married Dale Gregg on March 3, 1951 in Waycross. They moved to Harrisonville in 1958. Allie was a member of Antioch Southern Baptist Church in Harrisonville.
Allie was preceded in death by her parents, two infant grandchildren, one sister, Bonnie Owen. She is survived by her husband, Dale, of the home; two sons, Billy Gregg and Doug Gregg, both of Harrisonville, Missouri; three sisters, Winifred Thornton, Mildred Griffin, and Joyce Hester, all of Waycross, Georgia; one brother, Roy Thornton, Hoboken, Georgia; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
