Alice Margaret Brigham, 82, Harrisonville, MO, died Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 30 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, officiated by Rev. Charles Sutton, Harrisonville. Burial was in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Music by Misti Gile. Honorary casketbearers were Robert Cassody, Jessica Robey, Bill Cowan and Luke Scavuzzo. Casketbearers were Marvin Robey, Jeremy Brigham, Jason Brigham, David Noble and Larry Schuster. Contributions may be made to Harrisonville First Baptist Church or Crossroads Hospice.
Margaret was born March 23, 1924 in Waycross, Georgia, the daughter of James and Alice (Brooker) Stewart. She married Charles Braun Brigham on July 17, 1945 in Waycross.
Margaret worked for Avon in Kansas City, MO from 1959-1967. She was a 50+ -year member of Harrisonville First Baptist Church. Margaret's hobbies included collecting Avon bottles, flower gardens, Angel collecting and Toll painting.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles, on March 9, 1974, one son, Gary Brigham on December 7, 2001, eight brothers, Elmer, Ross, George, John C., Julius, Ray, Spencer and Murice and two sisters, Mae and Ruth. She is survived by two grandsons, Jason Brigham, Harrisonville, MO and Jeremy Brigham, Adrian, MO; four great-grandchildren, Alex, Ashley, Andy and Anthony and special friends, Mary, Marvin and Jessica Robey, Harrisonville, MO.
