Alan L. "Skip" Bayless, 77, Harrisonville, MO died Friday, November 17, 2017 at his home. A memorial celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date at Union Grove Cemetery in Northboro, IA.

Skip was born September 6, 1940 in Northboro, IA, a son of Marion D. and Elizabeth J. (Morgan) Bayless. He grew up in Northboro and was a 1958 graduate of Northboro High School. He had lived in Omaha, NE and Parkville, MO before moving to Harrisonville 22 years ago.

Skip had worked for Conklin Restaurant Supply Co. as a salesman, was an Auctioneer, and had worked for the I.R.S. and Continental Can. He loved traveling, working on computers, his family and classmate reunions. He was a special friend and will never be forgotten.

Skip was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Todd Alan Bayless and Timothy D. Bayless, and his wife, Karen Leah (Williamson) Bayless. He is survived by his fiancée of 22 years, Leota (Lee) Harris, Harrisonville; four sisters, Alice Maurer, Omaha, NE, Deborah (Rod) Nester, Jody (Dennis) Streitenberger, and Shari (Jay) Lindburg, all of Shenandoah, IA; .a daughter, Lundie Renee' Bayless, Kansas City, MO; and two grandchildren, Amy Marie Thropp and Zachary Alan Thropp.
