Agnes Hardin Mozzano, 83, Archie, MO, died Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Raymore Health Care, Raymore, MO. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 21 at the Atkinson Chapel, Archie. Burial will be in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO. Visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30 P.M. Tuesday, March 20 at the chapel. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Agnes was born August 12, 1923 in Barnsdall, OK, the daughter of Elverd Trueman and Dooley Madge (Raymer) Hardin. She was a graduate of Louisville, Kentucky Girls High School. Agnes was a member of the Christian Church since 1934.
Agnes served in the U. S. Navy Waves during WWII. After the war, she worked setting up IBM machines at the U. S. Army Quartermaster in Jeffersonville, IN. Agnes married Paul Calvin Mozzano on November 10, 1945 at the Christian Church in Washington, D. C. She came to Missouri in 1958 and set up machine rooms for the U. S. Coast Guard, including two computer rooms. Agnes worked for the U. S. Department of Transportation for 30 years before retiring on December 30, 1980. Agnes moved to Archie, MO in October, 1985 from High Ridge, MO.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul in December, 1946 and three brothers, Arthur Eugene Hardin, Gilbert Sherman Hardin and Elverd Trueman Hardin, Jr. She is survived by one son, Sarl Gene Mozzano and his wife, Patricia, Drexel, MO; three grandchildren, Nichole McMeins, Catherine Suzanne Hopkins and Maria Ann Pfiefer, all of the Kansas City, MO area; six great-grandchildren, Madison, Lauren, Christian, Ragan, Asa and Carley and one nephew, Dennis Michael Hardin.
