Agathe B. (Gothy) Larsen, age 100, Harrisonville, MO, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at St. Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, MO. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Crown Care Activities Department.
Agathe was born August 22, 1918 in Englewood, CO, a daughter of Alexander and Agatha (Klamn) Burghard. She had lived in the Kansas City/ Cass County, MO area before moving to Harrisonville in 1962. Agathe was united in marriage to Arvid "Larry" Raymond Larsen October 13, 1934 in Olathe, KS.
She had various jobs during her life including dental technician, she owned and operated the West Side Café on the Harrisonville Square, Anaconda Wire and Cable, new construction clean up and window cleaning, and rode the school bus as a monitor and aide. She was a member of Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville.
Agathe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on June 8, 1955, an infant daughter and three brothers, Alexander, Erich, and Hans Burghard. Survivors include her daughter, Carol Ann Larsen, Harrisonville, two sons, Larry E. (Sandi) Larsen, Harrisonville, and Stephen M. (Sharon) Larsen, Pleasant Hill, MO, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
